About our project...

For the last few weeks of Term 4 and the first 5 weeks in Term 5, we will be working on a collaborative project with a group of adults and the staff at Beulah Resource Base. Each Wednesday for the first 4 weeks of June we will be producing work in workshops at BRB and The BRIT School , then we will spend the remainder of the week in school working on the material created and gathered to produce work for the final event. There will be a Celebration day in week 5 (Wednesday 6thJuly) at BRB where we will share our outcomes.

A SENSE OF ME: Aim of project: To create sensory installations at BRB exploring memories and/or ambitions of the adults. Between workshops students will be developing the animations and other material towards the sensory installations.

Mud rock and Papermache

On wednesday we were given the task to again lead the adults i'm making a couple of things for the installation. Since the previous workshop with the adult s i have altered my design for the installation, which meant i could think of lots of things for Nishi to make. One thing i thought would be brilliant to make, was mud rock and papermache snow balls. Nishi loved doing this as it was very hands on and messy, all lesson Nishi couldn't take her eyes of what she was making, which meant i was up and down like a 'yo-yo' grading bits and bobs for Nishi to use for her snow ball. She even at the end of the lesson decorated the snows balls with paint and glitter jells. It was a brilliant workshop and we made 9 snow balls, but it would of been better if we gave Nishi a bit more time to carry on as she really loved making them.
